My research activities will be focused on the study of the dynamics of magma ascent during volcanic eruptions and on the multi-scale characterization of the subsurface system, combining microanalytical, experimental and numerical approaches. I will mainly investigate rocks through micro-CT, digital rock physics and chemical methods, and perform magma ascent experiments (e.g., HT-HP decompression) and simulations.
