The drilling in the Castiglione paleolake area was completed

The drilling in the Castiglione paleolake area was completed with the recovery of 2 cores at the the edge of the crater that hosted the paleolake.

These drilling were made after geophysics investigations, carried on to identify the most suitable site. The  recovered 12 and 3 meters cores will allow the study of the entire paleolake stratigraphic succession.
