In February 2022 we started the sampling of Castiglione sedimentary core for the planned geochemical analyses. The sampling is carried out by taking samples every 5 cm. These samples will be analyzed at the laboratories of
the “Istituto di Geoscienze e Georisorse (IGG-CNR) of Pisa” for carbon content evaluation (TC/TIC/TOC) and at the Università Ca’ Foscari of Venice for the analyses of oxygen and carbon isotopes (δ18O, δ13C).
