On 29th and 30th March 2023, INGV researchers (WP3 of AMUSED project) with colleagues of Tellus S.r.l. (spin-off of the Sant'Anna University of Pisa) are engaged, in Cava dei Selci (RM), in the second part of the agronomic experiment, aimed at reducing CO2 in the air. Cava dei Selci study area, known for its strong degassing of CO2 and H2S, is monitored with measurements of diffuse CO2 soil flux. After soil samplings and analyses performed in October 2022, agronomists of Tellus S.r.l. have selected the most suitable plants and small bushes (poplar, broom, and heather) which are planting during these days along two lines at the edge of the high degassing area.
