On November 29, the 3rd Annual Meeting of the AMUSED Project was held in Rome. For the first time in-person, the research team presented and compared the data obtained from the studies on sediment cores of the Castiglione paleolake and the central-southern Tyrrhenian Sea, speleothems of some caves in the central Apennines, and CO2 emissions from the Rome metropolitan area. This was an important moment to synthesize the many analyses performed, involving experts from different fields of Earth Sciences (micropaleontology, stratigraphy, tephrostratigraphy, paleomagnetism, palynology, geochemistry) and to reflect on the progress achieved in view of the last year of the project.
