Preliminary Programme

Date: October 12-18, 2026

Location: Donja Budicina, Petrinja (Croatia)

Possible accommodation: Petrinja Ecological Centre https://vrata-zrinske-gore.hr/

Day 1 Morning: Arrival at the WS site. Afternoon: Briefing on the fault and upcoming Activities.

Day 2 Full day: Interactive analysis of geomorphological evidence of the fault. Survey, mapping,

measurements on fault geometry/kinematics.

Day 3 Full day: Photogrammetry, geophysical, paleoseismological exercises at the fault area.

Team rotation:

Team 1: use of the photogrammetry in the field: trench and landscape documentation using

unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and terrestrial photogrammetry.

Team 2: high-resolution geophysics for near-surface fault activity evidence with Electrical Resistivity

Tomography (ERT): setup, data acquisition, configurations, resistivity processing/interpretation

Team 3: start of the paleoseismological fault study: trench site selection, opening, gridding,

flagging, and logging methods.

Day 4 Full day: Continuation of Team Activities.

Day 5 Full day: Trench wall analysis.

Day 6 Full day: Completion of team Activities.

Day 7 Morning: Closing briefing. Lessons learned, feedback, and outreach session open to the public. Afternoon: Departure.
