IDASH is a transnational know-how transfer project designed to strengthen the capacity of EU candidate countries in the Western Balkans to assess seismic hazard using modern, fault-based, and multidisciplinary approaches.
The project integrates earthquake geology, paleoseismology, geophysics, and seismic hazard assessment (SHA) to improve the understanding of active faults and earthquake potential across borders.
Project duration: May 2026 – December 2027 (20 months)

Funding and Institutional Support
IDASH is supported by the Know-how Exchange Programme (KEP) financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) through the Central European Initiative (CEI) Fund at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Each participant institution co-funds the project with a contribution of 50%.
