The G. d’Annunzio University of Chieti-Pescara (UniCH) was founded in 1965, became state-owned in 1982. It has ~20,000 students across two campus, Chieti and Pescara. The INGEO Department research activities are focused on Earth Geology, Construction Engineering, Planetary Geosciences, Biomedical Engineering, and Materials Science. In parallel with the diversification of expertise, the Department has significantly increased its laboratory facilities and strengthened its active participation in competitive research projects at national and international level. This track record highlights the Department’s proven capacity to successfully secure and manage externally funded projects, which today constitute one of the pillars of its advanced research activities.
