IDASH Hands-on Field Workshop on Earthquake Geology and Paleoseismology Starts on October 12, 2026

The first training workshop organized by IDASH will take place from October 12 to 18, 2026, in Donja Budičina, near Petrinja, Croatia. The workshop headquarters will be located at the Petrinja Ecological Centre: https://vrata-zrinske-gore.hr/.

A total of 40 participants are expected to attend, including 22 students from CEI countries. Under the guidance of IDASH staff, participants will receive practical training in the recognition and characterization of active faults, as well as in the investigation of paleoseismological trenches. These activities will enable them to derive the main fault parameters required for seismic hazard assessment.
