Agata Siniscalchi is Full Professor at the University of Bari.

In the framework of Applied Geophysics her research interest is mainly devoted to the methodological and applicative problems of the electrical and electromagnetic methods, especially magnetotellurics.
The main methodological activities were the definition of new electromagnetic prospecting techniques, studies on the electrical dispersion effects, static-shift removal and signal data processing in magnetotellurics, even for continuous electromagnetic monitoring.

She has explored a wide spectrum of applicative problems, at different spatial scale, in which electrical resistivity was expected playing a key role due to its great sensitivity to fluids and temperature, both for resource exploration and/or to study areas prone to natural risks. She has undertaken several collaborations with experts in other research field to permit multidisciplinary approaches to data interpretation.
