Christmas is coming. We look back and take stock of the past year. In the "foreground" column, it is worth remembering that this will be the last Christmas in which Project UNO will be formally active. Developing UNO in 2023 has made us all richer in experience, in survey campaigns, in comparisons with colleagues and friends, in new studies. On some of us involved in the project, this year has also left some profound marks. But that's life, wonderful and ephemeral.
