We almost reached the end of the UNO project. After having carefully studied the evolution of the volcano for many months, the time has finally come to share part of our work with the children and kids of the island. The local teaching staff was very kind and "UNO" entered the Istituto Comprensivo Isole Eolie, or, more simply, the Stromboli School to teach the students. Tullio Ricci, Emanuela De Beni, Riccardo Civico and Massimo Cantarero took turns telling and illustrating to enthusiastic and fascinated pupils the many things a drone can do.

Boys and girls, together with some teenagers, saw first-hand how scientists study and monitor "their" volcano. Establishing contact between Science and the "rest of the world" is always a rewarding moment, especially when children are involved. Students participated enthusiastically and there was no shortage of bizarre and unpredictable questions. It's impossible not to mention the following question: "But Etna... is Stromboli's mother?".
